How to rename a Notebook in Mac app and more

Hey, Inkdrop beginner here!

  1. How can I rename a notebook like First Notebook in the Mac app? Can’t find a context menu or Main menu entry anywhere for this…

  2. Also, is there a way to collapse the Status entries in the side bar (Active, On hold…)? I don’t use them (yet).

  3. Finally, tags: How can I remove a tag from multiple documents?

Sorry for the beginner questions here…

Hi halloleo,

Thank you for the questions. Here are answers:

How to rename notebooks

Right-click the notebook and you should see the context menu for renaming notebook like so:

39

How to collapse Status menu on the side bar

I’m afraid that it is not possible at the moment.
I’ll plan to support it in the future.

How to remove a tag from multiple documents

You have to delete the tag itself.

Hope that hleps.

Thanks @craftzdog.

My bad with the right-click…

Let’s say I have 20 docs with the tag python and I want to remove it from 10, then I have to delete it from each of the 10 manually? I can easily add to tge 10 by selecting and add to all 5…

I understand it, but I’m afraid that it is currently not possible.
Maybe it’d be nice to be a plugin but I’ll consider how to solve the issue so that you can remove a tag from multiple notes at once.

Removing a tag from multiple tags at once is now supported in v4.6.0.

  1. Select multiple notes
  2. Click a tag you wish to remove
  3. Press Backspace key

Thanks again for your feedback!

Cool. Just tried it: Works well.

(Only strange thing is that I am already on v4.6.0, but I haven’t noticed any update today or yesterday…)

Weird, but I guess maybe you should miss the update notification.
It automatically downloads the update and replaces it in the next launch.
