Crashes when right clicking note while syncing

Bug report

Crashes when right clicking note while still syncing. It seems so at least.

Info

  • Platform: Windows 8.1
  • Platform version: Latest
  • App Version: Latest

Reproduce

Edit a note, preferably a bit bigger one. CTRL+S, Then quickly right-mouse click on the note and try to export to PDF. Sometimes it crashes on the right click sometimes when selecting export to PDF.

I hope it has to do with these crashes but my pc just crashed cause a couple of Inkdrop processes had some memory leakage and were using all my available 16GB RAM. :open_mouth:

Hi Sceptic,

Thank you for your report.
That’s weird.
I tried to reproduce it but couldn’t.
I guess right clicking has nothing to do with the issue because it just pops up the context menu.
I suspect that the memory leakage might be caused by the full-text search indexing.
Could you check if it happens only on a particular note?

Hi Takuya,

Strange I also can’t reproduce it now. But I encountered it on all notes I tested yesterday, specifically a 150 lines note but also a 30 lines one. Perhaps I encountered the memory leak before this bug? So the bug might be more a result of the memory leak that is somewhere. Under normal circumstances the syncing, or one of the processes that created the bug while syncing, is always done before you can right mouse click a note.

If you found any information to reproduce the issue, please let me know.
At the moment, I don’t know where the memory leak happens.
I hope it will not happen on the new version of the app.
Current progress of its development:
