Windows shortcut for Search All Notes does not work

Bug report

The Windows UI says that the shortcut for “Search All Notes” is ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+F. If I press this whilst focus is in a note, nothing happens.

Search all notes functionality does work if I manually select All Notes and then perform a search, so it’s just the binding that doesn’t work or is broken.

No info is output to the developer console when I press the key ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+F.

Environment

  • Platform: Windows
  • Platform version: 10
  • App Version: 5.5.0

How to reproduce

  1. Open a note, press ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+F
  2. Expected result: Focus changes to the search box in the “All Notes” item.
  3. Actual result: nothing happens.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the report.
Yes, core:find-global command is bound with ctrl-shift-alt-f on Windows.
It works as expected on my machine.
When pressed the key combination, the focus moves to the search bar.
Perhaps, there is a conflicted keybinding? If it still won’t work, please try binding it with another key combination.

You’re right. This does work OK on my laptop keyboard, but does not on my USB keyboard (which is what I was using in the original report), although individually each of those keys is working OK. Very strange. I’m happy to have this closed as a user error
