Window gets unintentionally resized by dragging on Windows 11

Bug report

The “Enable Acrylic translucent background (Experimental)” feature on Windows 11 caused unintentional window resize when I move the window

The mode is enabled:

enabled

disabled:

disabled

Environment

  • Platform: Windows
  • Platform version: 11
  • App Version: 5.4.3

How to reproduce

  1. Turn on “Enable Acrylic translucent background (Experimental)” in “Preferences > Themes > UI Theme” on Windows 11.
  2. Dragging an inkdrop window will cause it to be resized unintentionally.

Hi elpnt,

Thanks for the report. Yeah, I’m aware of the issue.
I’m planning to upgrade Electron to the latest and check if it solves the issue.
If it still happens, I’ll report it to the module author: https://github.com/Seo-Rii/electron-acrylic-window

Still happens on Electron 16.0.4.
Reported to the community: https://github.com/Seo-Rii/electron-acrylic-window/issues/76

Found that Electron 16 works correctly on Win11 on my physical machine.
It doesn’t work in a virtual machine.
Sigh, the vibrant background feature has been often unstable and annoying to maintain…
Anyway, I’ll be rolling out a beta release for testing.

I built it with Electron 16. Can you please try it?
