Weird UI after clicking markdown in-doc links (Math plugin bug)

Bug report

Environment

  • Platform: macOS
  • Platform version: Sequoia 15.3.2
  • App Version: 5.10.0

How to reproduce

  1. Create a Markdown file.
  2. Type any word with in-doc link, i.e. [Test](#title)
  3. Go to the bottom of the file and type: ## Title
  4. Try to click the link. And you’ll see there’s a big area of gray at the bottom of UI.

Can someone please help me get rid of this? Thanks!

Update:
Okay, after going through some of the issue posts, I was inspired by one of them that it may be caused by one or more of the plugins I installed. So I deleted the plugins one by one and tried the links and I found it was the official math plugin (v1.6.0) caused it. After I removed it, the UI and the links work fine.

Since math is the official plugin, can you please also fix it? I really like it and it’ll be great if it doesn’t cause this weird UI issue. Thank you.

Hi Emily,

Thanks for reporting.
I’ve tried to reproduce it with the math plugin enabled, but couldn’t.

The issue looks like anchor links aren’t properly handled by the app.
Can you still reproduce it after disabling all the plugins except for math?
Which theme do you use? Can it be reproduced with the default themes?

Please don’t forget to relaunch (or reload) the app since some plugins don’t clean up properly.

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, so it happened again after I disabled all the plugins except for math.

The Theme I’ve been using is the Default Light, for both UI and syntax.

Please don’t forget to relaunch (or reload) the app since some plugins don’t clean up properly.

Yes, I did that every time I installed or uninstalled a plugin.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you for the detailed report.
Would it be possible to share your note that has the issue? You can send a DM if you’d prefer.
I still can’t reproduce it in my environment

Thank you! I’ve sent you my note.

@Lukas Are you able to reproduce it?

Thank you for providing your note. I managed to reproduce it.
I’ve published math@1.6.1, which should resolve the issue.
@Emily_Huang Could you try it?
