[Vim] Number keys not working as expected

Version 2.1.6 describes itself as:

  • fix (motion): Ignore numeric keys when a modifier key is pressed

However, this is preventing me from using commands like copying multiple lines. For example, when I type 5yy I would expect the five lines from the cursor to be copied, but now only one goes into the buffer.

Reproduce

Use any command starting with a number and the behavior will be as if no number was entered.

That change is made by @shimizu_tatsuya -san and he is looking into it now.
