Typing is slow when internet connection is slow

Environment

  • Platform: macOS
  • Platform version: Monterey/12.6.8
  • App Version: 5.7.0

How to reproduce

  • Make internet connection slow (I happened to be at a hotel when this was occurring)

  • Type text in inkdrop

  • Notice each keystroke takes a long time to appear

  • Disconnect from internet

  • Notice each keystroke shows instantly

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the report. That’s strange.
Can you elaborate on it? It sounds like the app tries to send a request every time you type. But the app itself doesn’t do that.
Which plugins are you using?
Do you see any errors in the Developer Console?
Do you see requests being sent when typing in the “Network” tab on the developer console?
