Slight lag during continuous text selection

To make lags appear, hold down Shift and the down arrow on a large amount of text.
Perhaps this is due to the fact that when selecting, the selected text is being searched.

How long does it start lagging? I tried selecting 40,000 length of text but I cannot get any lag.

Sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few seconds. It may depend on the length of the text string.
