Restoring backup

Hi, just signed up for the paid version.
Had a brief scare when I thought I’d lost my password, but luckily I found it.

Questions:

  1. the backed up notes appear to be encrypted.
    If I lose my password again and need to restore from backup, can I create a new account and restore the notes from the old account?

  2. is there a way to backup the files in cleartext?

Thank you for the question.
Backup is not encrypted. It is just JSON files.
You can restore your backup to another account.
