Hello! Is there the possibility of a binary distribution package for the ARM64 architecture? I was hoping to try Inkdrop on my Raspberry Pi 5. Thank you very much for all the design/thinking time you’ve put into Inkdrop, and for the many hours of dedication that I’m sure you have applied to the code. Regards. William Trenker, Canada
Hi William,
Thanks for the suggestion.
That’s a good question.
Back then, Arm64 support for Linux was not possible since Inkdrop had been relying on v8 snapshots, which could not be built on arm64.
But, the app no longer uses them, so I think it’s a good time to try it again!
Let me do this after updating the mobile app.
Just wondering if there is an update on this?
It would be helpful to have a deb for aarch64 to install
Yeah, I managed to run Inkdrop on arm64-ubuntu on Parallels on Apple Silicon.
Btw, which type of machines are you planning to run it? Raspberry Pi?
I was testing it through parallels as well on my M1 but we are planning on getting some arm dells as well that we would run ubuntu 24.04 on
Got it. I can’t promise any ETA though, I’ll be working on supporting arm64 chip for Linux in the future! Thanks for the info.
