Improved auto-link title insertion
Previously, pasting a URL opened a dialog to choose the link format, which interrupted your editing flow and pulled focus away from the editor. I didn’t like this behavior.
I’m happy that in v6-canary.15, instead of showing a dialog, link format suggestions now appear inline through the auto-completion menu — the same way the slash menu lets you quickly insert a code block and pick a language.
You can stay in the editor, and choosing a link format is just another completion item away.
Besides, you don’t have to wait for the app to finish fetching the link title.
It fetches the title in the background, so you can quickly select the “With page title” link type.

The note sort-order button has got a label
In previous versions, the sort-order button sat in the header bar, which meant you had to click it just to see the current sort order.
It’s now been moved beneath the search bar and displays the current order as a label, so you can see it at a glance without clicking.
In its place, the header bar now has a sidebar toggle button, giving you quick access to show or hide the sidebar.
You can toggle the sidebar with Cmd or Ctrl + /.
Fuzzy matching support for the notebook and tag list menus
The notebook and tag lists now support fuzzy matching, using the same algorithm as Telescope and the editor’s autocompletion.
This lets you find the items you want more quickly.
Other improvements
- Remove the account name from the sidebar
- You can check the account status in the account tab of the preferences window
