How to reproduce

How can I start up a new numbered list with a 1 again?

I have a numbered list of 1 then some text.
The another numbered list but it starts at 2. I need to start it at 1

I figured it out. But one of my sections requires a # in order to start at a 1.

I don’t know why.

Thanks for the question.
CommonMark doesn’t support starting a new numbered list without inserting another type of content.
But you could do this to avoid it:

1. foo

1) foo

Result:

  1. foo
  1. foo
