I tried to use the footnotes plugin.
However, it doesn’t seem to render as per the official example.
I disabled all but the official plugins, but the result was the same.
The custom styles.less didn’t do anything wrong either.
That’s not what I expected, although
[^or something?] to
[^orsomething?] (no spaces) does make it a link.
