When i do cmd-F/ctrl-F to do find or find/replace, haven’t found a way to hide the find or find/replace when im done. It stays there unless i close and re-open inkdrop.
You can hide the find and find/replace bar by pressing ESC while some element of this bar is focused.

also, you can assign a keymap to the command editor:clear-find on the selector .mde-search-bar.
