Downloading Image Assets from Backup files?

Is there a way to download image assets (as a backup) from inkdrop?

To my understanding, the data is stored in a raw binary (?encrypted aes-256?) format in json denoted with the name of +file+uniqueID.json

You can export notes with images as the regular file formats from the desktop app.
