Bug report
When an update is available and pushed Quit And Install Update, the app just closes the window and does not restart as expected.
The app will be updated once you close and wait for a while.

It is due to the recent change for resolving App takes a while to open up on macos after cmd-W.
It will be fixed in the next version.
