[5.11.7] [Windows] Unable to launch Inkdrop

I am unable to launch Inkdrop, nothings happen at all when using the normal launch method.

After doing a bit of digging I can conclude that I have version 5.11.7 installed and that is the version that fails to launch.

I have run

C:\Users\___\AppData\Local\inkdrop\app-5.11.7\Inkdrop.exe --enable-logging

and got the output

[1225/213709.392:FATAL:v8_initializer.cc(616)] Error loading V8 startup snapshot file

after which the command-line simply hangs.

I have also tested with 5.11.6, which still seems to be installed, by running

C:\Users\___\AppData\Local\inkdrop\app-5.11.6\Inkdrop.exe --enable-logging

Which then just proceeds to boot as normal

  • Platform version: 11 Pro 25H2
  • App Version: 5.11.7

Thanks for the report.
I downloaded a zip file, and it launches correctly.
It seems like your setup is broken. Can you try reinstalling v5.11.7?
