Snap won’t open on Archlinux

Installed Inkdrop snap successfully on Archlinux , which is running dwm.

After running the “sudo snap run inkdrop” command the program initializes, then immediately crashes displaying a Gtk error. Any suggestions?

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the report.
Archlinux is not officially supported. You basically have to solve issues yourself.
Looks like you have a Gnome-related issue.
v4.2.0 is too old. Please use the latest version (5.4.3).

As you are using arch you could also use the AUR package which seems to be reasonably well maintained. I personally run Manjaro and use the AUR package, has been working fine for me so far.

The one in aur works. What I did was yay -S inkdrop. Why would you want to use snap in Arch?
